Who is Argos Surface Technologies?

Argos Surface Technologies is the leading group in the metal surface treatment and
coating market.

The group stems from the union of important companies in the industry with the aim of offering a wide range of surface treatments and coatings for metals and, at the same time, proposing state-of-the-art solutions to improve the operation of components and production plants operating in various industrial sectors.

We have signed an operating lease with Argos Surface Technologies for the design, permitting, construction and commissioning of a 1,928kW photovoltaic system at their Gonzaga plant in the province of Mantua, Italy. The PV system will enable them to meet approximately two-thirds of their annual electricity needs with 100% renewable energy.

What did our intervention include?

We took care of both the design and the preliminary and executive engineering of the plant, which consists of 4,396 photovoltaic modules, 36 inverters, low and medium voltage switchboards, two LV/MV transformer substations and a Power Plant Controller, supplied by Energy Team, a company that is part of our group and an Italian leader in energy monitoring and efficiency.

We have also installed, at our own expense, the roof access and handling safety equipment (guardrails and safety nets) on the entire 23,000 square metre area. This is a very significant and challenging project for us, as it is the largest system currently in operation and our first mixed roof and ground system, installed on a very large roof with varying slopes.
